This mid-week's challenge is to use dies and punches.
It just so happens that I purchased this QuicKutz Heart Doily cutting die from Lifestyle Crafts yesterday!
Here is my creation:
It is a great looking punch but after I ran it through my Cuttlebug none of the little "chads" punched out! I had to sit and individually poke each one! What a mess! Ha!
I colored up this darling image from Saturated Canary called Owl I'll Always Love You.
The sentiment reads:baby, owl always love you...
The sentiment reads:baby, owl always love you...
I colored up this Saturated Canary image with Copic markers:
Skin-E000,00,11
Hair-E53,55,57
Outfit-RV93,95,E31,33,C1,3,5,R35
The paper is from Recollections and I embossed the background paper, too.
And...if I wasn't making this card to donate to OWH...I would be glittering it all up!
There it is, my OWH Mid-Week Throwdown!
Have a great Wednesday, my friends!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry! I tried talking one of my children to do it....no go! LOL!

DeleteYou're welcome!! :)) :))
DeleteIt might work for you on that die in the future...?
:)) :))
Great die - it's so delicate. Great job coloring your image too.I remember a tip about using wax paper with a die to help get those tiny pieces to come out. I haven't tried it myself though, so I'm not sure it works.
ReplyDeleteYou know Erika...now that you mention it...it came with a piece of wax paper!! I thought it was just the way it was packaged! Oops!
ReplyDeleteLet's just say the time spent punching out the tiny pieces was time well spent -- the detail is great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sybrina! :)
DeleteSuch a cute card, your coloring is exquisite ! Definitely use wax paper between the die and dp, I use all the time for those pesky lace chads. Works like a charm! TFS!
ReplyDeleteWax paper...who would of thought? Thanks for the tip! :)
DeleteVery pretty card. Tough deal with the hanging chads! Good recovery though. Have a great day.
