The Squirrel and the Fox DT

The Squirrel and the Fox's newest challenge is Happy Birthday! We welcome Sweet & Sassy as a sponsor this challenge. For this challenge, I colored the image from Mo Manning called: Bella Carrying the Cake.
Here is my creation:
I just adore that Bella and Bronte.
I kept the card clean and simple and used my Copic markers to color in the digital image.
The sentiment reads: Happy Birthday. It comes from a clear stamp.

Spots and Dots

Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week sure was a fun one. It is Spots and Dots!!!
For my DT creation I used one of my most beloved characters.....CHARLIE!

This image is The Wicked Witch of the West....so much fun to color!!!!
The paper comes from several different pads...My Mind's Eye and The Paper Studio. All the spots and dots are a mixture of gem stones and enamel dots. Like I mentioned before...I am loving the new enamel dots. They add a final touch to my cards!
The sentiment reads: Boo to You!
I used Copic markers to color in Charlie and some orange dots to outline her and the cat.
If the brooms fits...right?!?

Happy Tuesday, my friends!!!!

For this challenge, I used  Lacy Sunshine Stamps, the sponsor image called Lillianna Melancholy Moppet Digi Set.

Here is my creation:
This little garden friend is colored up with Copic markers and the paper comes from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is a wooden rubber stamp that reads: Some people grin and bear it others smile and change it.

Operation Write Home

190-Sketch-Sept-15-1.jpg (550×425)

Here is my creation using a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp from Cheryl Alger called Holiday Lulu and Libby:

Of course, I colored this cutie using Copic markers. The paper comes from My Mind's Eye and I am just loving these new enamel dots.

The sentiment reads: Hope your holiday sparkles.
I have to admit that I didn't follow the measurements of the sketch exactly, I felt like being a rebel. Just kidding. That's not why....
Anyways, it felt good to be able to play along again today. I missed a few Sundays because of going back to work. I knew that I was going to miss playing until I got the first few weeks of school underway. The madness of school starting is always overwhelming but I am in the groove of things now
I hope you all have a great Sunday, my friends!

Housework Fairy

Mo's new Challenge #202 is Say it with Flowers. I decided to use this awesome digital stamp called Housework Fairy. This image is perfect for the card I made to accompany a house warming gift for my sister.
Here is my creation:
Everyone should be assigned a housework fairy, don'tcha think?!  I know I wish I had one. With 5 kids...I am lucky if I can find the kitchen table on a good day!
I colored this fairy in using Copic markers. The paper is from My Mind's Eye. The fish tails are die cuts from My Favorite Things.

The flowers are from Recollections. And I added silver Stickles with a hefty sprinkle of Mixed Berries Fairy Dust Glitter. I love this stuff! I tend to go a little crazy with it! He-he!

So...Mo Manning's is having a DT call. I am not sure how I missed the fact that they have a challenge blog! Oh my! The injustices of the world! But now I am on to it! And I am throwing my hat into the mix to be a DT girl. I just adore that Bella and Bronte!

It seems lately, that I am down and blue. I knew that would happen once school started. Don't get me wrong...I love my job as a special education teacher! But at times, everything seems to get too overwhelming. That's why I like making cards! Just knowing that I have a cool new image to color up at the end of the day gives me that "oommph" to get through the day. Plus, my friends and co-workers really like my cards. When I walk into their classroom and see one of my cards on display sitting at their desk it makes my heart soar! That is the kind of pick-me up I need!

Card making and coloring make me deliriously happy!
So, my fingers are crossed as I submit this card for a chance to design with Mo Manning.

Lavender and Lilac

A new challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's is Lilac and Lavender. Colors I don't normally use too much. For this challenge I decided to use the rubber stamp Patience Secret.
 Here is my creation:
Every Sunday, I send a card to my favorite Aunt. She loves this Sally!
My Aunt looks forward to receiving my card each week. She sends me a book of stamps each month just to be sure she receives a card! I tell her all the time she doesn't need to, but she does anyway.
I love her!

This card will be one for her!
Please join us this week for the Lilac and Lavender color challenge.

Off the Page

Sassy Cheryl's  newest challenge is Off the Page.  For this challenge, I colored up Count Dracula Noah.
Here is my creation:

Of course, I used Copic markers to color in Noah. And I chalked in the clouds. The chalkboard embellishment came from K&Collections and I used a white gel pen to write in Happy Halloween.
